Robin Carbaugh made East Tennessee her home in 1994. No matter where her career took her—makeup artist, professional photographer, or entrepreneur—creativity was the common thread.

Robin’s affection for organizing started many years ago, prompting her and her husband Travis to spend 15 years running their own custom closet company. In 2020, Robin joined friend and industry peer Chris McKenry at Closets by McKenry and Designer Garages. A highlight of her work has always been teaming up with clients and other industry professionals to solve unique storage challenges. “Everyone’s space is important to them,” explains Robin, “so it is extra important to me--no matter the size! At the end of the day, I want to know I’ve given everyone my all.”

Robin and Travis have a grown son and daughter, both married, and a rescue pup named Barley who often serves as her able assistant. Whether working on a client design or a project of her own, Robin draws on her artistic passions to fuel her creative ideas. Says the designer, “If I am not growing & creating, I'm simply not living.”
